GENERAL

• Why should I buy a Sentosphere product?
  

For the past 30 years we have committed to helping all ages awaken their senses with eco-designed, made in France kits.

When you purchase one of our products:

• You are giving your children the opportunity to enjoy sensory activities, all the while transmitting them important educational values that will help them grow
• You are guaranteed to have a highly qualitative content that complies with Toy, Cosmetic and Food Regulations
• You are encouraging a made in France manufacturing process

• Where can I find your products?
  

Our products are sold everywhere in France through specialty stores. You can find all our stores on our Store Locator.

We are also sold in over 40 countries throughout the world. • How are your products tested?

Our products are tested according to Toy, Cosmetic and Food regulations. Our products are perfectly safe for children and do not contain any toxic components

If your child has known allergies, all the ingredients contained in our cosmetic and culinary kits are indicated on the back of the packaging.

• There is an element missing from my kit.
  

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience! Our kits are manually assembled in our factories in France. Although we have random checks on our production lines to verify the quality of our products, mistakes happen. If a component is missing from your box, please call our Customer Service that will do its best to help you. 

• I have left over content from my kits, what can I do with it?

Do not hesitate to reuse all the components from our kits once you are done with the activity. Here are some ideas to recycle the components:

• Aquarellum inks: you can use them as regular arts & crafts water-based inks on watercolour paper.

• Acrylic paints (presented in our Colorizzy kits): These acrylic paints are highly qualitative. You can use them on numerous supports: paper, cardboard, woods, etc. 

• Window colour paints (presented in our Mobile Vitrail, Crystal Flor, Crazy Rings and Crazy Bracelets kits): With the leftover window colour paint, you can create beautiful decorations for any cold surface (windows, glasses, mirrors, etc.). To do so, use the window colours on a plastic sleeve (you can insert an illustration to follow its outline). Leave it to dry for at least 1 hour before placing it on any cold surface you wish to decorate! 

ECO-DESIGN & MADE IN FRANCE

• Where are your products manufactured?

In order to truly master our production process and the quality of our products, all our kits are developed in our offices in Paris before being manufactured in our 2 French factories.

• Sentosphere is located in Paris, France. That is the creative studio where we design and imagine all our products.
• A factory is located in Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines, France. This is where all our inks, perfumes, colourants, smells and cosmetic bases are manufactured. That is also where most of our products are shipped out of.
• A factory is located in Romans-sur-Isère, France. Our carboard boxes and all the cardboard elements in our kits are manufactured there. We use 100% recycled cardboard.

• What is your commitment towards our planet?

The entire Sentosphere team is very concerned with environmental issues. It has always been our goal to find sustainable solutions to improve our manufacturing process:

• All our boxes are made of 100% recycled cardboard and are FSC certified.
• All the papers we use are Imprim’vert certified.
• All the paint pots we use are made of 100% recycled plastic.
• All the plastic wedges we use are made of 70% recycled material, and are 100% recyclable.
• We actively fight against overwrapping and make all our boxes are as compacted as possible.
• Our factories recycle all their waste and manufacture compact products. 80% of the raw materials used come from less than 400 km away.

We will do anything that is in our power to continue improving our commitment to the planet and future generations by finding alternative, more sustainable, manufacturing solutions.

AQUARELLUM

• I do not have the correct Aquarellum inks in my kit.

The Aquarellum inks have very concentrated colours when they are in the flasks. The colours seem darker than they actually are on paper. For example, the yellow colour can easily be mistaken for an orange.

In order to make sure you have the correct colours, do not hesitate to look under each flask: the colour name is printed. If you indeed did not receive the right colours, make sure to contact our CUSTOMER SERVICE.

• I still have some Aquarellum inks left, but I finished painting all the boards.

We are very generous with our inks! There is always some left once you are done painting all the boards from an Aquarellum kit.

First of all, you can use these non-toxic water-based inks for other crafty activities! They work best on thick watercolour paper.

We have also developed refills so that you can continue having fun with the Aquarellum technique without having to purchase another entire kit. Different boards formats are available.

OLFACTORY GAMES

• How long does a smell last?

If you treat our smells well, they can last up to 10 years! Store the smell capsules at room temperature (avoid heat exposure).

By definition, a smell is a volatile substance. Therefore, in order to preserve it, we recommend that you close each capsule with the right cap after each use.

Be careful, the caps are also impregnated with the smell of the capsule they hermetically seal. Therefore, make sure not to mix the caps as the wrong cap on the wrong capsule might pollute the smell. 

Our smells are guaranteed for a minimum of 2 years. If you have any questions, or encounter any problems, please contact our  Customer Service.

• Do you use natural smells?

The majority of our smells come from essential oils, respecting the dosages allowed by the Toy regulations.

However, all the smells presented in our games are not necessarily available as essential oils. In that case, we reproduce the smell molecules in our Parisian laboratory to make them as close as possible to the smells you know. Once again, all our smells pass the Toy and Cosmetic regulations.

• I have a hard time recognizing smells

Don’t worry, you just need to train your sense of smell! Somebody that is not used to using their nose may find that olfactory recognition can be hard. However, we guarantee you that with a little training, it will become very easy.

Our first tip is to try and categorise the smell: is it sugary? salty? fruity? flowery? woody? etc.

Our second tip is to try and remember what that smell makes you think of. Actually, our sense of smell is the one that is the most linked to our memory! A simple smell can make you think of a season (strawberries in summer), a person (grandma’s lemon smell), a favourite dish (curry), a yogurt flavour, a cream fragrance, a place, etc. Making this link will automatically help to put a name on the smell you are trying to recognise.

Also, smells are like colours. For example, there are as many shades of green as there are apple smells! A green apple does not exactly smell like a red apple, that smells differently from apple sauce or apple pie! The smells presented in our games are therefore one of the many available versions of smells that you can find around you!

Recognising smells will become a true Memory game, using all your souvenirs as a reference palette!

COSMETIC KITS

• Can your cosmetic products cause allergies to my child?

Our products are tested according to Toy, Cosmetic and Food regulations. Our products are perfectly safe for children and do not contain any toxic components.

If your child has known allergies, all the ingredients contained in our cosmetic and culinary kits are indicated on the back of the packaging.

• I wish to continue making cosmetic products and/or candles with your kits but I am missing some ingredients.

We have developed many refills so that you can continue having fun with our DIY cosmetic and candle kits. You can find refills for our colourants, fragrances and cosmetic/candle bases.

• How many soaps can I make with one kit?

With the Soaps & Scents kit you can make around 15 soaps with one kit, according to the shapes you use (they do not all have the same size).

• How many bath bombs can I make with one kit?

With the Bath Bombs kit you can make approximately 10 bath bombs, according to the shapes you use (they do not all have the same size).

• I do not have a micro wave oven. Can I still use your kits to make soaps and glosses?

Of course, you can make your cosmetic and candle bases melt in a Bain-Marie. It will not change the formula or the end result.
